I am not a “regular” at Fox & Company, but have had massage as well as manicure/pedicure there on special occasions. It has always been a treat. I have been hesitant to criticize, but I am going to do so in the spirit of helping your business. The last time I was there I got a manicure/pedicure with a gift certificate that my husband gave me for my birthday. The manicure/pedicure area was so dirty. I still have $25 left on my gift certificate but have never used it because I was so put off by the obvious deterioration in cleanliness that I found during my last visit. The staff was nice but I couldn’t get past the dirty floor, old cups of soda, dirty jars, counters, etc. It just looked like nobody bothered to clean the place in weeks. I know in this economy spa services are probably one of the first luxuries to go by the wayside, but you are not doing yourself a favor by allowing your wonderful spa to look uncared for and neglected. Just my opinion given in the spirit of helpfulness.

    Dear Ms. Wood,

I REALLY appreciate your comments and apologize PROFUSELY about your experience. There is no excuse for the condition of the spa at that time. To help ease your mind, I do want you to know the pedicure basin and tools are cleaned with a medical grade solution after every service. As for the floor and surfaces, obviously someone had left in a hurry the night before and neglected the space.

This issue has been addressed with our staff and permanent solutions are being considered. Currently, we are in the process of planning a remodeling project for that space. We will have new pedicure chairs and they will be located in another area of the business. The floor will be replaced (part of the floor issue was acetone being spilled on it and removing the top sealant).

I am sorry I did not get back to you sooner but the person in charge of the e-mail has been out of commission due to major health issues. I was not aware that the e-mail had not been handled. Obviously, several things were being overlooked.

We thank you for your patience and patronage and would like to extend to you a twenty-five dollar gift certificate toward your next service. Again, please accept our sincerest apologies for your previous experience and look forward to serving you better in the future.

    Sincerely,

    Sue M. Fox
